On a cloudy day I decided to gently introduce a friend of mine to Table Mountain. The day we chose, we were hiking in a cloud for the entire time. I can't help but enjoy hiking in this weather, it always seems to bring out some introspection. The hike we took was from the end of Tafelberg Road, up the track marked Devil's Peak. We made it up until the fork, and then instead of heading left we went across the front face of Table Mountain. A dry waterfall looked like it would make for some climbing adventure, and it did.
We walked along an amazing route for running (avid runners take note, this route could give around 8km if you extended it. Beautiful, single track). Eventaully we reached the end and looped back up, over the route we took and back down to the entrance. Quick hike, just over an hour at a very relaxed pace.
