IQELA EVENTS' CELLAR 2 CELLAR, SIX IN ONE CHALLENGE AND SLANGHOEK TRIATHLON NOW OPEN FOR ENTRIES
Sports Lovers: show your metal with Iqela Events
Calling all mountain bikers, trail runners and triathlon lovers: Don’t miss out on the chance to participate in three exhilarating challenges, set along some of the Western Cape’s most scenic routes. Iqela Events’ Cellar 2 Cellar, Six in One Challenge and Slanghoek Triathlon are officially open for entries.
The sixth annual Cellar 2 Cellar Trail Run and Wine Experience takes place on 5 September 2015 at Blaauwklippen Estate in Stellenbosch. Along the way, participants can sample the fine wines of participating estates, perfectly paired with delicious cheeses. Wine Experience participants who swap their traditional running gear for fancy-dress costumes stand the chance to “win their weight in wine”. The overall winners of the more serious men’s and women’s Trail Runs, without the Wine Experience, will also be rewarded with excellent wines from participating estates. Entries range from R150 to R320.
The annual Slanghoek Triathlon takes place on 24 and 25 October 2015 at the Breeland Wine Cellar in the Slanghoek Valley. This exciting two-part race consists of a MTB triathlon on the 24th and a road triathlon on the 25th. The race includes swimming, running and cycling. Individual and team entries range from R320 to R600.
The Six in One Challenge is a multisport event that takes place on 29 November 2015 at Doran Vineyards, Paardeberg. This challenge is a true test of strength and teamwork, consisting of six legs that must be completed in sequence. Athletes who would like to skip the water-related legs can enter in the NoH2O category. Individual or team entries range from R450 to R1 200.
Situated in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, Iqela Events organises and hosts professional sports events throughout South Africa, specialising in mountain biking, trail running and triathlon events.
In partnership with KTM Bike Industries and Sportsmans Warehouse, Iqela Events organises exciting sporting occasions such as the Duo Challenge, Duo Challenge Family Fun Day, Metropolitan Hope Hike, Slanghoek Triathlon, Iqela Tri Challenge, Gravel Grape, Cellar 2 Cellar, Six in One Challenge and the Cederberg 100 Miler.
Iqela Events provides a comprehensive range of services, including the management of events, on-the-day management, arranging marshals and medics, setting up water points, organising sound equipment, co-marketing of events, managing pre-events, route scouting, event marketing, setting up and attending meetings, application management, acquiring the necessary permission and permits, facilitating the online entry process, and registration management on and before the race day. Iqela Events has a database of approximately 7 500 athletes, and all event entries run through their website.
